Meet Dr. Warfield
Hello, I am Brett Warfield, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist and board-certified in interventional pain management. I attended Meharry Medical College and obtained my Doctor of Medicine degree. It was here that I developed a love for helping underserved communities. I completed my anesthesia residency and cardiac anesthesia fellowship at John Hopkins University. Over the years, I have also been an assistant professor responsible for educating medical students, residents, and student cRNAs. I’ve worked as a community liaison for underprivileged youths. And after 15+ years of private practice and academic anesthesia, I recognized a need in The Woodlands and the greater Houston area for quality pain management care. I understand what it is like to be in pain, as I’m a cancer survivor. My mission is to help all people, regardless of background, color, or creed; you deserve to be treated with dignity and respect while receiving excellent care. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children, traveling, shopping, cycling, and volunteering for various community events.

Why Consider Pain Mangement
Anyone living with chronic pain knows how it can be highly disruptive to a person’s life and prevent them from being able to do all the things they need/want to do. Daily activities like work or hobbies can become challenging to do, as the pain can make it almost impossible to move about as needed. Many people seek out their primary care physician to find ways to help with their pain, but a primary care doctor does not specialize in treating chronic pain. A primary care physician can refer out to a pain management center, or patients can go straight to one without a referral. Pain clinics have doctors who are specifically trained in pain management and have other staff on hand to be able to provide the type of care that people dealing with chronic pain need. Pain clinics focus on diagnosing and treating several conditions that can lead to chronic pain, such as fibromyalgia, arthritis, sciatica, neuropathy, and pinched nerves.
Our pain management clinics in Sugar Land provide you access to highly trained pain management doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who look forward to assisting you by offering innovative ways of treating chronic pain without needing evasive surgeries or addictive medications. Pain clinics can also provide you with resources to aid in your recovery, such as physical therapists, psychologists, and occupational therapists. Texas Integrative Pain Institute can refer out to physical therapists, if needed, and will communicate with their office to maintain a consistent level of service.
